In a significant meeting today, AIG Yahaya S. Abubakar, the Assistant Inspector-General of Police overseeing Zone 14 Headquarters in Katsina, warmly received the Executives of the Police Public Relations Committee (PCRC) under the leadership of retired Asst. Comptroller Alh. Suleiman Marafa Argungu. The visit aimed to extend a warm welcome to AIG Abubakar, marking his tenure as the 5th Assistant Inspector-General of Police in the Zone since its establishment in 2020.

During the courtesy visit, Chairman Alh. Suleiman Marafa Argungu expressed the committee's commitment to fostering cooperation and partnership with the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) in Zone 14. Emphasizing the role of PCRC as a crucial link between the NPF and communities, he highlighted their focus on information/intelligence sharing, regular engagements in crime prevention, and reinforcing public safety.

AIG Abubakar, in response, acknowledged the significance of PCRC's role in Community-Oriented Policing. He expressed full support for the committee, emphasizing the importance of their collaborative efforts at both organizational and grassroots levels. Stressing the non-partisan nature of both NPF and PCRC in matters of security, he pledged to involve them in the Zonal Command Monthly Strategic Leadership Management Meetings to contribute to the ongoing fight against crimes in the Zone.

The meeting concluded with AIG Abubakar presenting a plaque to the PCRC Chairman, symbolizing the collaborative commitment, followed by a group photograph capturing the momentous occasion.
